At All Times
2 05 2016The Lord is worthy of our praise!
I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart.
Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.
I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
He freed me from all my fears.
Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.
For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.

Keep Pushing
22 04 2016I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:12-14
I can’t give up now. My future is ahead. If I keep putting one foot in front of the other, it won’t be long before I will be in another place and time. So we keep pushing. We keep seeking God’s direction. We keep listening for His voice for the next steps and plans. We keep trusting that His instruction is working everything together for our good. Every step of the way, we are centered in His love. Every step we can trust Him and experience His peace. I am pushing on.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5- 6

Never Alone
21 04 2016The LORD remains near to all who call out to him, to everyone who calls out to him sincerely. Psalms 145:18
I am never alone. The Creator is always with me. Whatever I face today, I can open my heart to God’s presence in my life. God’s love surrounds my existence and I am thankful. Problems tend to create a feeling of isolation and being disconnected from those around us but it is a tool of deception from our spiritual enemy. We are never alone. God is always there. We can open our heart and minds to the love He has to offer; welcome God in. His presence in our lives provides peace, joy and an everlasting love. I am so thankful that He is always with me.

Show Me
20 04 2016Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow.
Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me.

Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past. Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.
The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands.

Dear Father – My help comes from the Lord. You are my source of strength and power. I thank You God for all that You do for me. You sustain me with Your goodness and love. My confidence is in You to continue to provide for my needs. I thank You God for Your faithfulness to my life. Your promises never fail and Your love is everlasting. I give You honor and praise for Your many blessings. My help comes from the Lord. Amen

I am Thankful
15 04 2016Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalms 106:1
I am thankful for the blessing of this day. Today, I start anew with a fresh vision of what is possible. I have faith that God is perfecting everything that concerns me; my life and the lives of those I love. He is full of grace and mercy that is extended to me and to all of His children. I approach today with an open heart to God’s will for my life. My plans are yielded to God’s plans. My aspirations are second to God’s plans for me. He is my Creator and knows the plans of peace that will fulfill my destiny. I am thankful. Today, I start anew with a fresh vision of what is possible. I am thankful.

Keep Steppin’
14 04 2016Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Moving forward requires us to put one foot in front of another. Our first steps may be small ones but if we can achieve some consistency in walking with Lord as our lead, we will make progress forward. For some of us, we may be experiencing fear that may have us frozen in our current state. Others may have so much emotional baggage that we are weighted down and moving forward takes 
more energy than we can muster. Having a distorted self-image that is seen through the lens of self-doubt, low-self-esteem and lack of confidence in our talents and abilities can make the initial step seemingly impossible.
But I am so thankful for God’s mercy, His love and His grace. Our Heavenly Father, created us with everything we need to fulfill His Holy purpose for our lives. I have prayed that God would show me what He sees when He looks at me. This is the most powerful lens we can have. He sees the beauty, the talents, gifts and abilities that He has instilled in each of us. He also sees the areas where we may have fallen short but our God is faithful to forgive when we ask to be forgiven. He even sees areas in our lives where need to mature and develop in our walk with Him. Our journey continues when we put our trust in Him and stand on His word for guidance. He is faithful to hear our prayer and allow us to move forward along our path.

Laser Focus

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:1-2
I admire people who have the ability to focus on a goal and work toward it without getting weighed down with the challenges of living. They seem to be able to fix their eyes on their goal down the road and work diligently toward that goal no matter what comes their way. I am working on having that kind of laser focus in my life.
Our passage today is about fixing our eyes on Jesus. We have so many followers that have gone before us, leaving a trail that is encouragement to throw off every hindrance in our lives. We should avoid every sin, every distraction and each thing that will keep us from running swiftly toward our goal. Our Father did not just provide grace, mercy and salvation for us alone. He has given each one of us purpose and work to do to build His Kingdom. Now, like never before we should commit our focus and our hands to getting it done.
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14
