I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

The Lord is my source of hope.

His plan for me is full of hope as I trust in Him.

I can trust Him with my whole life.

Every concern….

Even in the bright and dark places,

I can put my whole life in His loving hands.

He can transform the struggle into strength

He can transform the worry into peace

In Him, my life becomes beautiful

The Lord is my source of hope.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  Jeremiah 29:11

It will get Better

So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!  Psalm 31:24

We experience seasons where discouragement seem to take up residence in our hearts. Discouragement is not of God and should be resisted with all of our might.  Jesus came that we might have life, abundant life.  He came that we could live a life full of HOPE, PEACE AND LOVE.  We can put our complete trust in Him. We can trust Him with the heartbreak.  We can trust Him with every wound in body and spirit.  We can trust Him with the disappointment.  We can trust Him with every inch of our existence.  Our lives in His hands can transform the hurt into healing and the discouragement into hope.  We can trust Him that things will get better.

Dear God,

We thank you for another day.  We thank you that you came to give us abundant life.  Our hearts are heavy Lord and we know that discouragement is not of you.  We are releasing the burden of heartbreak, disappointment and depression to you.  We are ready to receive the blessings of hope, peace and love into our hearts today that comes through a relationship with you.  You are the Living God that brings deliverance and salvation.  We are so thankful for this abundant blessing.  We will nurture peace, love and hope through a closer walk with you.  We are thankful that we are never alone and that You are available to us every step of the way.  We receive that gift of hope that things will get better.

In Jesus Name –

Amen

Sufficient

21 09 2015

DSCF0398But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.    II Corinthians 12:9

Whatever today brings it is what the Lord has provided and it is sufficient for me.  The list of things I have to be thankful for far outweigh my faith wish list.  God has provided this day, this time and this place for me.  I am so thankful for every blessing.  The peace in my heart, the love He has for His children provides joy and confidence that He is working things out for my good.  It is a good day to employ contentment and to immerse my thoughts into the goodness of God’s grace.  It is sufficient for me.

Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me,

My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.

Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.  II Corinthians 12:7-10 MSG

Jesus is Alive!

6 04 2015

easter picAnd now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.”  Matthew 28:7 NLT

For many the Easter festivities have come and gone. We have attended Easter programs, worship services and even had special dinners with family and friends. I am so glad that the celebration of a risen Savior continues today. We can give God praise for the blessings that came with the Jesus’ sacrifice on Calvary. We thank Him for blessings of salvation, healing and deliverance that is available to each person that acknowledges and believes that Jesus Christ is Lord. I was so blessed to attend a program celebrating the Resurrection complete with children’s speeches and songs. One of the youngest participants had a simple but powerful message that “Jesus is Alive”. I thought to myself, what fitting words. Jesus is alive. We don’t have to look for Him in a tomb. He is alive and He is still providing the blessing of relationship with Him that brings healing, deliverance, peace and joy. We can continue to give praise that Jesus is alive from now into eternity.

Everyday Easter

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.  John 3:16-18 MSG

During this season, we recognize the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for our sins.   It is a time to reflect on His suffering and death at Calvary for you and for me.   God’s love for us is so vast and so complete that He gave His Son Jesus to the world.  The Son of God came that we might have salvation and that we would see an exemplary Holy life in flesh and blood.   We thank God for this season of celebration and recognition of His life, His death and His resurrection.  It is a season that we can extend throughout the year.  We can celebrate Easter every day.  We can honor His sacrifice by accepting Him into our hearts, confessing that He is our risen Savior.  We are so thankful for the gift of salvation and the opportunity to live in relationship with Him, doing our best to honor His example every day.

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. Romans 10:9-10 NLT

The Thrill of Hope

23 12 2014

Wreath imagesQ0ZCS1EOFor I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  Jeremiah 29:11

Jesus came that we might have life and life more abundantly.  What a sacred and precious gift that we celebrate this week.  He came and dwelled among us and lived an exemplary life that showed us how to love and live.  What a tremendous gift that is available to every open heart and soul to accept his gift of salvation and abundant life.  Walking with the Lord we experience His peace, His healing and His deliverance that allows us to receive His blessings that are above and beyond all that we can ask or think.  The change, the hope we seek in our lives can be found in Him.  His plan for us is peace, love and joy  –  a future and a hope.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
