Keep Pushing

15 02 2017

I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:12-14

walking feet

I can’t give up now. My future is ahead.  If I keep putting one foot in front of the other, it won’t be long before I will be in another place and time.  So we keep pushing.  We keep seeking God’s direction.  We keep listening for His voice for the next steps and plans.  We keep trusting that His instruction is working everything together for our good.  Every step of the way, we are centered in His love.  Every step we can trust Him and experience His peace.  I am pushing on.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5- 6

Clearly

21 10 2016

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

I want to see the path forward clearly.   The journey ahead can be obscured by the noise of the day and the dark covering of doubt. The path that I am seeking is ordained by my Creator and empowered by the Holy Spirit. I need clear landmarks and strong leading to help me with the next steps. I am thankful that the Lord provides leading when we ask and listen. I am grateful that we can trust the Lord with our whole heart. I am thanking the Lord for the blessing of a clear path forward today.

Making a Way

20 10 2016

“I will go before you and level the mountains; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron.” Isaiah 45:2

The Lord goes before us making our paths straight. Just meditating on this aspect of our wDSCF0176alk of faith blesses my soul. He is not only directing our steps but he is going before us smoothing the way. We often don’t know the way forward but He puts the spotlight on next steps. The Holy Spirit is gently guiding, planting seeds in our heart to prepare us for what’s to come. Obstacles are no match for our Heavenly Father; He can move mountains. I am so thankful for this blessing. He is making a way for me.

Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP

All thy Ways

19 10 2016

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6

I need direction each step of the way. I want to walk with faith and purpose every day. So many days have been lost to unfocused meandering. Today I am listening, tuned in to my Creator to what is next; when, who, how and where to move. I am thankful for the Holy Spirit that guides me along the way. I am thankful for the strength and the peace that empowers my journey. I am thankful for God’s direction for each step trusting God all the way.

Trust God from the bottom of your heart;     don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;     he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Proverbs 3:5-6 MSG

Trusting

14 10 2016

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6

I want to be rooted in a place of trusting God. My faith and trust should be evident at all times and in every place. Our senses of hearing and seeing sometimes can be sources of discouragement in times of trouble. At those times, we can stand in a place of trusting and have a deep knowing that God is control. We are trusting God for the big and small things of our lives. God is faithful to know the intimate details of our living. God’s love responds with gifts of peace, joy and direction even in the midst of turmoil. I can thank God for all that He continues do for me. I am trusting God for today and the days to come.
