Terri's Wellspring's avatarTerri's Wellspring

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;

I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.

I will be filled with joy because of you.

I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.          Psalm 9:1-2 NLT

IMG_0128The Lord has provided countless blessings to us. We thank God and give praise for life, living and health. He gave us life and a pathway to live in relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ and I am so grateful. Salvation provides new life with peace and joy and provides access to the many promises available to His children. Our Heavenly Father has done so many marvelous things – healing for my mind and body; revival of my spirit; guidance for my steps and the blessing of loving family and friends. Total Praise

14 08 2014

At all times….

Terri's Wellspring's avatarTerri's Wellspring

I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. Psalms 34:1

The “I will” portion of this scripture reflects a personal decision and acknowledgment to give praise to the One who is so worthy of all the praise. We can approach each day and each situation with praises to the Lord on our lips and in our heart. We serve a Heavenly Father whose love for us is beyond our understanding. He loves us and has given us both grace and mercy, as we welcome another day. I am thankful this day for God’s goodness and faithfulness to me and to all of His children. We are praying for His continued leading and that every aspect of me, my thoughts, my words and the fruit of my hands will be used for His glory. We will have His praises on our lips and His songs in our…

Constantly Speak His Praises

13 08 2014

Walking in thanksI will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.
Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
let us exalt his name together.

I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
He freed me from all my fears.
Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
he saved me from all my troubles.
For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
he surrounds and defends all who fear him.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
Fear the Lord, you his godly people,
for those who fear him will have all they need.
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry,
but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

Psalm 34:1-10 NLT

Faith at Work

11 08 2014

Stay in faith!

Terri's Wellspring's avatarTerri's Wellspring

Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. Hebrews 11:1 NCV

By definition, faith calls us to believe in things we can’t see. We may be seeking change that is not yet visible and no evidence in sight but yet we are called to believe. It takes stamina and standing firmly on God’s word. It may be improved health, a saved loved one or a change in a situation that we are believing God for. Whatever we hope to come to past, we must continue to put our trust in God, speak words consistent with God’s word and walk in Faith that it will happen. We are called to faith not just because of what we are hoping for. We are called to faith because without it is impossible to please Him. Stay in Faith.

But…

Head to Toe

8 08 2014

O my soul, bless God.
From head to toe, I’ll bless his holy name!
O my soul, bless God,
don’t forget a single blessing!
Raise'm high He forgives your sins-every one.
He heals your diseases-every one.
He redeems you from hell-saves your life!
He crowns you with love and mercy-a paradise crown.
He wraps you in goodness-beauty eternal.
He renews your youth-you’re always young in his presence.
God makes everything come out right;
he puts victims back on their feet.
He showed Moses how he went about his work,
opened up his plans to all Israel.
God is sheer mercy and grace;
not easily angered, he’s rich in love.
He doesn’t endlessly nag and scold,
nor hold grudges forever.
He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve,
nor pay us back in full for our wrongs.
As high as heaven is over the earth,
so strong is his love to those who fear him.
And as far as sunrise is from sunset,
he has separated us from our sins.
As parents feel for their children,
God feels for those who fear him.
He knows us inside and out,
keeps in mind that we’re made of mud.
Men and women don’t live very long;
like wildflowers they spring up and blossom,
But a storm snuffs them out just as quickly,
leaving nothing to show they were here.
God’s love, though, is ever and always,
eternally present to all who fear him,
Making everything right for them and their children
as they follow his Covenant ways
and remember to do whatever he said.
God has set his throne in heaven;
he rules over us all. He’s the King!
So bless God, you angels,
ready and able to fly at his bidding,
quick to hear and do what he says.
Bless God, all you armies of angels,
alert to respond to whatever he wills.
Bless God, all creatures, wherever you are-
everything and everyone made by God.

And you, O my soul, bless God!

Psalm 103 MSG

Be Encouraged

For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”  Hebrews 12:5b

Starting the day on the firm foundation of an encouraged heart is a blessed way to approach what is ahead.  We may have a busy day at work planned or countless other tasks to accomplish before we settle down at the end of the day.  Or maybe you are blessed to have a time of rest and reflection planned during these last days of summer.  Whatever you have scheduled, please know that we can experience this blessed day with confidence and peace of God’s promises and love:

  • He will provide direction;
  • He will  guide our footsteps;
  • His Holy Spirit can give us the right words to say;
  • He will meet our needs as we put Him first;
  • He can provide protection in the midst of the storm;
  • We are never alone.

He will show you….

Terri's Wellspring's avatarTerri's Wellspring

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,   for I am trusting you.

Show me where to walk,   for I give myself to you.

Psalm 143:8

IMG_2082Each day is an opportunity to walk with renewed spirit with the Lord. Starting the day with a resolve for strong directed steps helps us to maximize our efforts. Spending time in the Word each morning helps us to focus on God’s promises to us. He is our Heavenly Father who loves us beyond what we can imagine. He promises to be with us and to provide for our need. We can put our full faith and trust in Him. He promised to lead and guide us each step of the way and we are thankful. We can stand firmly in faith that He loves us.  He will guide us as we yield our ways and journey to Him.

The Work in Us

4 08 2014

DSC03198

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6

As long as we are still on our life’s journey, we continue to be a work in progress. Each day is a chance to grow and mature in the way we think and feel. I am thankful for the journey and the Lord’s promise to continue His work in us. His Holy Spirit continues to reveal things in our hearts and minds that need to change and to mature. Places where we have stored up resentment or hard feelings come into the spotlight and we are compelled to respond. Jesus is asking us to release our hearts to Him and choose to respond with love, forgiveness and a higher path in Him. We may want to hesitate to let go of things that may have taken up residence in our lives but God is able to help us to clean them out and to replace those feelings with love, peace and healing. In His hands, He can take any situation and transform it into something with beauty that gives us strength for the road ahead.

As we approach this day, we can consider what things Jesus is showing to us about ourselves that need to change.  We can respond with repentance, we can seek reconciliation and we can forgive. We can release our hearts to Him and let Him continue the work of love in our lives.

Forgiveness and Healing

1 08 2014

Terri's Wellspring's avatarTerri's Wellspring

IMG_1179He is the one who forgives all your sins, the one who heals all your diseases.

Psalm 103:3 God’s Word

The gifts of forgiveness and healing are eternal gifts from our Heavenly Father.  The acts of asking and receiving forgiveness bring restoration to our relationship with Jesus Christ. He is faithful and just to forgive us when we have fallen short, whether we are on the first day or the 10,000th day of our journey with Him. What a blessing of love and mercy that God has for us.

The sincere words of “I’m sorry” or “please forgive me” can bring a world of good to our earthly relationships too. Most misunderstandings can be turned in the right direction with the petition of forgiveness. We pray today for new and restored relationships with the Father. We also pray for the blessing of healed relationships between family, friends and wherever…

Close and Closer

Seeking to be closer to the Savior!

Terri's Wellspring's avatarTerri's Wellspring

another sunrise

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. James 4:8 NLV

We want to stay close to the Savior. He is the source of our strength, peace and joy. Daily living can create distance if we allow the noise of our lives to overwhelm us. Careers, work, school, family and the incessant breaking news can leave us feeling weary, if we let it. Staying close and connected to the Savior can keep us fueled and thriving when we need it most. Avoiding the pitfalls of unforgiveness, bitterness and sin can create unnecessary wedges between where we are and where we need to be. Coming closer is actively eliminating things that can come between us and God. We may need to reach out to Him for strength. We may need…
