Beyond Measure

1 07 2016

Seek the Kingdom of above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

I am blessed beyond measure.  My life and living are sprinkled with God’s blessings.  Love, peace and joy surround me.  I enjoy health and wellness and I am free.  The Lord makes a way for me and allows me to experience the world in ways that I could not have imagined.

We can give thanks for Jesus who came to give us life and life more abundantly. We need an abundance of His peace, His love and His joy. We want it be so evident in our lives and overflowing to everyone who is in need of His touch in their lives.  As I enjoy His blessings, I will seek to spread His goodness to others.  Smiles and words of encouragement are free gifts that come from above through me to the people in my life.

I am blessed beyond measure.

Choose Life

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.  John 10:10 NLT

I choose life today. Jesus came that we may have life, even abundant life. This translation describes the life that God desires for us as rich and satisfying.  I imagine this life full of the fruit of His Holy Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness.  What abundance He desires for me.  I choose His life.  I seek His purpose. I am committed to staying on the journey He has created for me.  My trust is in Him along the way.  His love never fails me.  I am so thankful.  I choose life today.

But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22 AMP

In Need of a Savior

27 10 2015

We are all sinners in need of a Savior. Jesus is the Savior of our souls. He came to provide forgiveness and redemption for you and for me.  When I open my heart and mind, Jesus can enter my life.  I can welcome Him in to forgive my sins and to fill in the spiritual gaps in my living.  He can heal the broken places. He can make me whole. An open heart and invitation to welcome Him in can start a whole new journey.  It is a journey of faith that is filled with possibility.  It can change what was thought to be hopeless into a reality.  We are all in need of a Savior.  Welcome Him into your heart today.

Dear Jesus –

I am a sinner in need of a Savior.  I welcome you into my heart.  I thank you for dying for my sins. I ask for your forgiveness.  I will trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will.

 In your name,

Amen.

The Thrill of Hope

Jesus came that we might have life and life more abundantly.  What a sacred and precious gift that we celebrate this week.  He came and dwelled among us and lived an exemplary life that showed us how to love and live.  What a tremendous gift that is available to every open heart and soul to accept his gift of salvation and abundant life.  Walking with the Lord we experience His peace, His healing and His deliverance that allows us to receive His blessings that are above and beyond all that we can ask or think.  The change, the hope we seek in our lives can be found in Him.  His plan for us is peace, love and joy  –  a future and a hope.

O’ Come Emmanuel

22 12 2014

A weary world is in anticipation of a Savior; a people waiting and hoping that change will come to our lives and the earth in which we live.  The people of the bible times and countless people even now, are expecting something that will change their lives.  The need for healing, deliverance and salvation is evident in our communities, families and our individual souls.  We seek the Savior today.  Unlike the shepherds and wise men in search of the baby Jesus, we don’t have to take a physical journey to find Him.  He is close and available to each of us when we open our hearts to Him.  As we celebrate this week the birth of Jesus Christ, each of us can open our hearts and minds to accept Him as Savior.  He came that we might have an abundant life; O’ Come Emmanuel into our hearts and minds.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

Getting A Life

Jesus came that we might have abundant life. My vision of this life is full of peace, love, joy and contentment. Amazingly it does not include fear, anxiety and hate that seem so commonplace today. I have reached a time in my life where discovering meaningful ways to spend my time and energy are at the forefront of my mind. I have previously walked in ambiguity but I believe those days are behind me. I am excited about the road ahead because I believe our Father is faithful to provide the clarity and direction for moving forward. He can show us how to move into our purpose, providing the gifts and resources to bring it to pass. It’s a journey into the satisfying life He intends for each of us.

Choosing Jesus

21 11 2013

For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

We make decisions each day. From the time we open our eyes, we make choices about how we live our lives. Accepting Jesus into our hearts and into our lives is the most important decision we can make. We are created as creatures of choice. We get to decide to accept His gift of salvation. We get the opportunity to turn from our former ways. We get to choose a new life and a new journey with Him. It is up to us. It may be a new choice or it may be a choice that you made long ago. But we are reminded today that Jesus loves us and that He gave His life for our sins. He loves you and He loves me. He came that we may have life and life more abundantly. We can accept His gift of salvation and the gift of His Holy Spirit. So if this is a new choice, you are welcome to the family of God. If this is renewed choice, we thank God for a renewed commitment to Him and a deeper desire to walk closer with Him. Walking with Jesus, we want to make consistent choices that reflect our faith, love and respect for our Heavenly Father and His Word. We want to walk in integrity, love and meekness that quickly identify us as a child of the King. We want to choose Jesus and His ways each day.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  John 10:10

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will.
In your name,
amen.
