Reflecting Him

31 10 2012

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.   Colossians 3:15-17

We make so many choices each day. Making consistent decisions that reflect God’s will for our lives is essential for the blessed life that we seek. God is love and He loves us as our Creator and Heavenly Father. Following His lead in showing love toward ourselves and those we encounter is a strong reflection of Him. We must do the inner soul work that allows us to forgive and to open our hearts to His children everywhere.  Some people may feel like sandpaper but it is most likely an opportunity for growth and better understanding.  Seek understanding through the lenses of His love, His peace and His mercy.  We have all needed change at one time or another of a better way of dealing with others.  We may even need an adjustment now.  Our prayer today is that our lives, our decisions and our relationships will reflect Him.  We love the Lord and thank Jesus for this blessing.
